Such a cute little bump! I'm 9wk5days with identical twins :)
We did do IVF as well but only had 1 embryo put back as a 5day blastocyst & it obviously split after transfer :) Ours are Identical Mono Di bit scared of what's coming up but with the technology these days doctors have been very reassuring :)

You can 100% have identical twins with ivf. I had a single 5 day transfer and our first ultrasound showed two little guys. Doc said it happens .5-3% with ivf (it's also what I read). So it's definitely possible!

That's not true, Anonymous. There is actually a higher incidence of identical twins associated with IVF. (Though of course fraternal twins are more common than identical twins.)

If they are identical then they had to have been conceived naturally. The only way for identical twins to occur is when the egg splits into two after it becomes fertilized. IVF is a process where embryos are "blasted" into the uterus. When IVF is used the couple can choose whether or not they would like more than one embryo transferred.

 Natural of Fertility?

Hi hun, just wondering if you conceived the babies naturally or if you had fertility treatment? I am 11 weeks and days myself and about the same size as you. I have my ultrasound tomorrow so I am crossing my fingers that it will be twins. My husband and I have been trying for 6 years and finally have been blessed with the most precious gift ever! Did not go through IVF or fertility treatment so if this pregnancy is twins, it would be natural for us.

No morning sickness but I do have extreme hunger and fatigue all the time. Just wondering if you had signs and symptoms like this or just found out through ultrasound yourself.
