I'm 28 weeks and my doctor told me today that my cervix is alarmingly short. He's wanting to give me a set of injections starting tomorrow that will help develop my babies lungs at a faster rate, just in case they try to come too early. He told me that bedrest is my only option. I'm getting really nervous!

I had preterm labor with my first 3 pregnancies but so far none with my twins I'm 27 wks they are both 2 lbs 2 oz and cervix is still good I'm gettin wkly injections of makena to boost my progesterine in hopes to make it to 36 wks good luck to all you guys

let us know how bedrest went. i just got put on bedrest today and idk how im gonna go through with it because i have an autistic 2 yr old and a 3yr old with aspergers and dont have much family around to help and dad works:/ we r gonna go about it however is safest!p.s. you look AMAZING

Im also 27 weeks and just came home from the hospital.I was having contractions and am dilated 1cm,I also had to have the injections for the babies lungs.Im on moderat bedrest at home,hoping the babies dont come to early.

Hi,I am 28 weeks pregnant with twins. I was admitted to the hospital at 26 weeks for low birth weight of one of the fetuses and a short cervix. The doctors do not want to chance it to send me home so it looks like I;m in it for the long haul.

I am currently 31 weeks, I went to the hospital when I was 29 weeks and 6 days because I lost my mucus plug, I was dilated 1cm and the fetal fibronectin test came back positive. They gave me the steriod shot and transported me to another hospital who deals with preterm babies. They were able to stop my contractions (that were 3 min apart) and were going to send me home but said my cervix was too short to chance it. Hang in there girl and stay off your feet as much as possible, you dont want to be on bedrest in the hospital, trust me! You look great!

Well I haven't been told anything about being hospitalized, but I have a check up appointment at the end of the week and I i'll see if my cervix has changed in any way. As for now i'm just laying around the house and hoping these injections have done something.

Hi. I'm 27 weeks and got put on bed rest at 24 weeks because my cervix was thinning. So far since i've been on bed rest everything has stayed the same and I get to be at home. My doctor said if it got any worse I would have to go into the hospital for injections to mature the babies. Are you having to go into the hospital?
