    Casting Call!

We wanted to let you know about a new documentary type show that is going to profile some of the hardest working moms and dads in America. They would love to feature a single mom or dad with more than one child (the more children and the younger the better). They're currently only looking for families from the East Coast. If you would like to be considered for the show, e-mail your story along along with a family picture back to hardestworkingmom@gmail.com

    1) WHAT IS YOUR BUSINESS AND/OR WEBSITE?

    Huddy Buddy - www.huddybuddy.com

    2) HOW DID YOU DECIDE ON THIS BUSINESS OR SUBJECT?

I started this business almost 3 years ago after the birth of my second child – my daughter Peyton. When my first child, Hudson, was born, I knew that I didn't want to return to work. I wanted to find something to do that would allow me to stay home with my son. I worked as a Product Manager at Kraft Foods Canada in Marketing. I wanted to combine my marketing skills with my new life as a mom and as Hudson grew, so did the idea for Huddy Buddy. I put the idea on hold for a bit while my father was sick and then he passed away which further delayed the start of Huddy Buddy. Once Peyton was here I knew it was time to get the business off the ground and Huddy Buddy was born in November 2007. My husband is a graphic designer which made this a natural thing for us to do. He designs the web and the t-shirts and onesies and I handle the business side of it.

    3) WHAT DO YOU ENJOY MOST ABOUT THIS BUSINESS OR SUBJECT?

I love dressing my kids and Huddy Buddy provides a unique, creative vehicle for others to dress their kids! I love that I can work while the kids are napping or sleeping at night and spend my days with them. I love that people are searching google and find us to meet their needs. It is so fantastic to see a child at the park or at school or on vacation wearing a Huddy Buddy shirt. It is very exciting!

    4) DO YOU WANT TO TALK ABOUT ANY SPECIAL PROMOS, PRODUCTS, DEALS, OR OTHER TOPICS?

Huddy Buddy is going to be re-designed this summer with a new look for the website, and an expanded line of sibling and twins shirts and onesies. In the next week or two, all of our graphic t-shirts (except siblings and twins!) will be 50%. Great to stock up for the spring and summer. Right now, Twin Stuff! readers can get an extra 15% off of thier order with coupon code TWINSTUFF15

    5) TELL US A BIT ABOUT YOU, YOUR FAMILY, YOUR TWINS AND HOW YOU MANAGE IT ALL.

My husband, Jarred, and I have been blessed with 4 healthy kids. Hudson is 6.5 years old, Peyton is 3.5 years old and the twins, Madison and Mason are 6 months old. We went for a third and were surprised with a 4th! We are still getting used to the twin thing! I still find it surreal that I have twins. It has and definitely will continue to be the biggest challenge for us. I've learned to function on a new level of sleep deprivation. I thought I was tired before – that was nothing by comparison! We are fortunate to have help in the house during the week which makes a big difference. We have a nanny and a tremendous amount of help from my mother which makes drop off and pick up at 2 different schools and different times that much easier! It also allows me to have time with the twins on their own and with Hudson and Peyton individually as well. The flexibility of Huddy Buddy is what makes this the perfect business opportunity for me. I was quite sick at the beginning of my pregnancy and being the owner of the company allowed me the flexibility to work or not work at all whenever I felt like it.

    6) ANY ADVICE OR INSPIRING WORDS FOR OTHER MOMS?

No matter how overwhelimg it may seem at times, there is light at the end of the tunnel. I truly believe that twins are such a blessing and a gift from someone above! I can't imagine my life without the twins now. I am so excited to watch them grow up and to see what their special bond will be. I find that with the twins, time goes by even quicker so it is so important to live in the moment and truly enjoy every minute you have with them. I've had to let some of my control issues go and my house isn’t as immaculate or organized as it was before the twins but I am so much happier and blessed with them in my life. They are now my focus and all else can wait.

    7) HOW DO OTHERS CONTACT YOU FOR MORE INFORMATION?
