Breastfeeding The Babies At 4 Weeks Old

by TwinMomma
(Washington, DC)

This pic was taken when my b/g twins were 4 weeks old. They grew out of the pillow at 5 months so I fed them separately for a while. Now that they are 10 months they are back to eating at the same time. No pillows now though. They crawl up to me and make themselves comfortable! I find it easiest to do in my recliner with the foot rest up but not reclined. All of you twin mammas can do it! In the beginning I said it would be so much easier to do bottles but it got so much easier with time that I started saying how it was so much easier that I didn't have to do bottles!

Wonderful!

I never thought that I would want to breastfeed twins until my girls were born. With the right support, I have loved every minute. People of singletons are amazed that I am still going even thought the girls are only 4 months. Nothing is more rewarding right now!

Thank you so much. I figured bottles would be easier too. Thanks for the motivation.

Hope

Hi, thanks for sharing this pic. It gives me hope to think I should be ok. I think the feeding part has freaked me the most so this pic was very good to see. :)

It was a very lovely picture and gives me confidence in being able to breast feed both at once. I keep hearing I can, even from a lactation consultant, but to hear it from a twin mom gives me much more hope. Even better that it is still possible at 10 months as I would like to breastfeed for the first year. Thanks.
