No Weight Gain At 12 Weeks With Twins...

I have not gained any weight since my first doctor's appointment. I've sustained the same weight, this is my second pregnancy and we're having twins. Normal? Also sometimes I'm starving all day and other times hardly hungry. Any thoughts??

I only gained 5lbs during the first 5 months. Since my 5th month I have gained 22 more lbs and am currently 36 weeks.

30 weeks
by: Mommys5

I'm 30 weeks with twins. At my 28 week appointment i had only gained 11 lb the whole pregnancy. Since then, in the past 2 weeks, I have gained 5 more lb. It's starting to add up and seems to be coming on quick. But still, I am only at 16 lb gained the whole pregnancy. I feel like I have put on a hundred because I am so short waisted and they are behind my hip bones and my ribs. They have taken every inch of space inside my abdomen! My doctors have not been concerned at all. The baby boys are growing well and are healthy. I wouldn't worry! It will come!

Weight gain
by: Anonymous

I am on my second pregnancy and expecting twins. Although I felt I had increased my calorie intake during my first trimester, I often felt nauseous and found it hard to eat much. I didn't gain any weight for the first 14 weeks and my doctors weren't concerned as the babies were growing normally. Now I am 25 weeks, and am gaining plenty of weight! Don't worry too much - like my doctors said, the babies take what they need. Enjoy this time of no weight gain, because it is probably about to come fast and furious! Good luck :)
