Pain During Twin Pregnancy?

I am 21 weeks pregnant with fraternal twins (boy and girl). Since about 12 weeks I have gone through aweful pain in my lower abdomen with pain in my rectum also...like a stabbing pain. Now I am experiencing a dull ache on my right middle abdomen that is so uncomfortable I can not sleep at night. Dr's keeps telling me it's all round ligament pain. Have any of you experienced this? I am a nurse I work 12 hour shifts on my feet..I am not sure how long I will be able to work like this.

your pain
by: Kate

The stabbing pain in your girly area is the round ligament pain or nerve pain. Either way, I have gotten it with all pregnancies and it totally sucks. There is no way to help it :(

Sorry for the bad news. Good luck. I feel your pain, I have had it for about 3 weeks now.

sounds like me

I have horribly intense cramps in my right side, that sent me to the ER twice. Drs gave me 3 possibilities, ovarian cyst, round ligament, or simply dehydration. Since the last trip I've made sure to have water with me at all times, and it seems so simple but helps! I even keep a huge bottle at my bedside. I get up about 20 times to pee, but the pains have been better! hope everything is ok.
