Second Twin Pregnancy?

I'm 7 days past ovulation and woke up this morning with HUGE cramping and no blood. I remembered waking up in the middle of the night with the same severe cramping with my fraternal twins pregnancy, although I didn't know at the time I was even pregnant. They are now 7 years old and I haven't had any pregnancies in between. I was wondering how likely it would be for me to have a second set and also if any of you other mothers of twins had noticed this severe cramping early on?

nothing you can do about it really!! if your frist set of twins were fertunal than it's VERY VERY likly that the next ones are as well!!! dont get streesed over it!!! your blessed with another set (if you are pregnant)!!

Fraternal twins are in the genes, hun :) It's common to have more than one set of twins in a single family. In fact, there is a set of fraternal twin girls in my daughters kindergarten classroom and they have 11 year old fraternal twin sisters!

if your first twins are fraternal its pretty darn likely to have it happen again

(its your genetics)

Dizygotic twin pregnancies are slightly more likely when the following factors are present in the woman:

She is of West African descent (especially Yoruba)
She is between the age of 30 and 40 years
She is greater than average height and weight
She has had several previous pregnancies.
She has a family history of dizygotic twinning, especially a mother who is a twin

so yeah you stand a pretty good chance

I was pretty crampy early on but also stayed crampy through most of my first trimester.
Good luck, I know its hard with one set of twins, not sure what I would do with two sets :)

I am pregnant with twins and had massive cramps early on and throughout the pregnancy.
It is possible you could be pregnant with twins again.
