another sleeping day
by: Anonymous

Hi ladies, I’m 24 weeks pregnant with boy/girl twins. This is anither day when I sleep all day long, waking up just to go to the toilet every 2 hours. I ate breakfast at 7, took a bath and thought ok, I will lay down a bit then will wake up drink coffee and start doing simething. Now it’s almost 4pm, I’m still in bed. My todays achivement - I ordered pizza... I’m reading your comments and wondering if all twin pregnancies are making us so exhausted. It’s not like its my normal day, generally im able to do more (not much, but im not sleeping all the time at least). We need to stay strong and optimistc ;) it will get better

9 weeks with mo-di twins
by: Corinna

I'm 36 and this is my first pregnancy and I hit the jackpot with twins! I've had a pretty easy first trimester. I haven't had any morning sickness at all and my other symptoms have been very mild but the last few days I've just been really tired. I have not been able to focus on work for longer than 1-2 hours at a time. Lots of yawning and daydreaming and google searching. Lol! I've been trying to stay hydrated because I heard that really helps with fatigue. I wanted to start doing some light activity but my PJs and the couch just keep calling me. Hopefully the second trimester will bring back my energy. Any suggestion that others have tried to get their energy back?

Extreme exhaustion
by: Anonymous

Hi all! I am also pregnant with twins. I am currently 12 weeks and this is my first pregnancy. I am so excited but I have had very bad nausea since I was 5 weeks pregnant. Although this symptom has decreased, it has been replaced with another... extreme fatigue. I sleep for 10 -12 hours then wake up and try to eat. As soon as I’m done eating I feel like just getting out of bed and having breakfast has taken ALL my energy. So then I just take another nap lol and this cycle repeats itself. I thought that my tiredness may be abnormal, but by all your guys’ comments, I now know that I am not the only one!! Keep strong ladies and know that we are creating two precious babies and it will be worth it in the end!

14 weeks mono twin boys.
by: Kassandra S.

I have two girls 5 & 1 and with both the pregnancies I've never felt this weak and tired ever. I've been having issues with my blood pressure as well, sometimes I feel like I'm going to pass out and other times I feel like I'm burning up and all sweaty! Doctor said it's normal but boy, I can't wait till I start feeling better so I can enjoy my last pregnancy EVER.

Exhaustion
by: Heather

This makes me feel so much better. I am 6 1/2 weeks and I have never been this exhausted in my life. It's like I can't rest enough no matter how much I nap and rest. I didn't feel like this with my single pregnancies.

Struggling 😕
by: Mizkj

I'm 7 weeks pregnant, I found out I was having twins at 5 weeks. I'm struggling so much I cry most days😭 work is unbearable some days I'm hoping this tiredness will ease but can't see it. I don't think people understand unless they are going through it. It's driving me around the bend, usually so active 😩

Eat Drink Sleep Bathroom REPEAT
by: Ana

I'm currently going into my 16th week twin pregnancy with 2 boys. This is my second set of twins, first set just turned 20. Never in my wildest dreams could I of imagined I'd have twins twice. The first time around I was put on complete bed rest from 20 weeks until 34 weeks when I gave birth. So I don't ever remember been tired because I could sleep all day if I wanted. Plus it was 10 yrs ago. This time I'm extremely tired which is why I googled it and why I ended up here. I get up to eat, then I get sleepy- go back to sleep from sleeping 10+ hours. Insane. Then I'm too tired to do much of anything, 'y house is not as clean as usual and I feel so bad but I can't do anything about it when I get up to clean, I just can't. I'm blessed to have supportive husband who lets me sleep all day and night if I wanted. But yes the fatigue and exaustaion are very intense. Sometimes my body feels so heavy to move! Still so very happy and patiently creating 2 lifes!

Want to eat salty food but not able to eat much..can anyone tell me about how to find out the gender without an ultrasound?

16 weeks mono di boys
by: Anonymous

I'm 16 weeks with twin boys , I feel extremely weak all the time I first thought in first trimester it was because I was so sick, I'm no longer sick however hard to do anything I feel light headed and weak , so spend most my days laying down . Which is borninf and frustrating yet even when I get up to take a shower I feel I pass out from heat . Is this normal ?

by: michelle

Hi how did you know at 8 weeks it was twins? I haven't had one ultra sound yet. Is that normal? Also, will they be able to tell at my 9 week ultra sound? I have been soooo sick and extremely tired. I generally eat healthy but I find myself taking 5 hour naps and so exhausted after just washing dishes

Ughhhhh!!!!
by: Anonymous

I've been reading everyone's comments and I'm not sure if they've made me feel better or worse. I'm 6 weeks pregnant and this is my 4th pregnancy so I sorta know what to expect. Boy, was I wrong! In my three prior pregnancies, I had SEVERE morning sickness the whole pregnancy. It would subside somewhat near the end, but it never stopped. I was never exhausted - just worn out from being sick. This time I have no morning sickness but I'm tired all the time. Not just "tired"... I'm talking complete exhaustion. I've never felt like this in my entire life unless I was really sick. Did this happen to anyone else? My first trimester symptoms have seemed to reverse and I'm so scared I'm having twins.

Soooooo tired yet not really nauseous like with my first child
by: Danielle

Hey yall found out I'm 5 weeks along and this pregnancy is SOOOOOOOO different compared to this one, I have a gut feeling I'm having twins and my husband's mom is a twin. I'm already getting a tiny bump and I'm extremely tired and dizzy and hungry, nausea is very minimal compared to my first pregnancy, what do mommies with twins think? A possibility? Or no?

Super tired with twins
by: Anonymous

I'm 6 weeks pregnant with twins. I have been napping a lot, but it sounds like that is normal with twins. This is also my first pregnancy. I try to eat light to avoid morning sickness but I have small meals throughout the day. My Dr gave me a list of over the counter medicines I can take for nausea but I don't like taking meds. I just sleep things off. Today I woke up at 12pm cleaned a bit than napped, woke up to eat than napped, woke up and went to the store. I seem to have a bit more energy now but yes the fatigue is real !

I'm 14w pregnant and this is my second pregnancy. I lost my first child and pregnant again. I feel so nausea most of the time very irritable and fatigue is my number one problem. I sleep A lot. I may go to bed around 10 and wake up at 10 but after I eat breakfast I'm soo miserable I'm ready to leave down and go back to sleep. My doctor hasn't mention anything, my family and friends are hoping it's twins. Is there a possibility one twin is hidden?.

Major Fatigue & Dizziness
by: Brenda

Hello, I am 6 weeks pregnant. This is my first pregnancy and I am so exhausted all of the time. I have my first ultrasound next week. I am wondering if I am pregnant with twins. Is it normal to be so tired that you can hardly make it through the day? All I want to do is take a nap. I also get very dizzy when I am at my desk or when stand up for less than 10 minutes. It is very hard to make it through the work day. I can hardly make my husband dinner, I find myself sitting on the kitchen floor periodically. I also can't stand the smell of what I am cooking, but I am fine with eating it afterwards. Also, I am a very organized person and always remember almost everything. But lately my mind is so jumbled that I can't even remember if I just put deodorant on. Please leave comments and advice.. Thank you!

I'm a fraternal twin
by: Jessica

I am a fraternal twin. I have a twin sister. This is my 3rd pregnancy. I have 2 boys, ages 6 and 4. I remember being a bit more tired than normal with my other 2 pregnancies but this time around the exhaustion doesn't let up! I am currently 6 weeks pregnant. I am tired an hr after I wake up and can barely make it through my work day. (and I have a desk job!)I can barely even cook dinner after work. Last night I went to bed at 9pm! I have not gone to bed that early in YEARS!! I slept almost 12 hrs and I am still in a FOG! I am sooo thirsty too. I drink 3-4 16 oz bottles of water in my 8 hrs at work! Also fraternal twins run in my family. We were the 1st set, then my mom's first cousin have twin girls, the 3rd set was born to my mother's 1st cousin's (who is male)daughter. The EXTREME exhaustion and already increased appetite this time around is making me think it's twins! My 1st appt is Jan 6th. So we will see!

Second set of twins
by: Anonymous

I am 9 weeks pregnant with twins and also have 10 month old boy/girl twins keeping me rather busy! With my first twin pregnancy I was starving and ate non-stop the first trimester, packing on 15 pounds in three months. That kept me from feeling sick, but I lived in a constant state of fatigue and exhaustion, dropping into bed any moment I could. It was a bit better by 16 weeks and I had a couple months reprieve until the third trimester hugeness set in. With this pregnancy I take two naps with my babies during the day and still feel like I am in a fog all the time. Most food looks disgusting, so I am having a hard time with being sick because I have to force myself to get anything down. I am hoping to have a singleton pregnancy someday so I can compare, but so far for me twin pregnancies have meant utter exhaustion and fatigue!

all i want is sleep
by: Anonymous

I'm 14 weeks with twins and sleep 9 hrs at night then maybe 3 in the day. For the rest of the time I wish I was sleeping. My mind is totally fuzzy and studying is so so hard! This began last week but I did have fatigue around week 8 too...although that I managed to push through. I'm upping my iron intake and snacking all the time but wow this is hard! Anyone know when it goes away?

Morning Sickness and extreme fatigue
by: Jennifer

I'm currently 10 weeks pregnant with twins. I've been a mess since around 5 weeks....vomiting, nausea, achiness, extreme fatigue, you name it...it's been really hard to cope with all this sickness. I also have 2 toddlers and I work....I'm beat! I'm really looking forward to the morning sickness subsiding...I pretty much am at the end of my rope with it. Zopfran is not helping me much! I can't wait to have these twins, but I have a ways to go....I just hope there is relief soon.

Needs Lots Of Sleep
by: Jennifer

I agree with everyone else! I am 8 weeks 1 day with twins and I am exhausted! I can never seem to sleep or sit around enough! As for the boss thing, I agree. My boss and everyone else at work seems like their mad at me because I cant work the 50 hour weeks and do the things I used to! Now Im barely working 40 and can hardly stand to be on my feet for 9 hours a day. All I want to do is sleep, the 6th and 7th week was rough, because I had constant morning sickness, now that that has seem to subside, Ive got the cramps in my lower belly and too tired to do much of anything!

always tired
by: Anonymous

Im 10w/4days with twins and have never been soo tired in my life! I knew I was having because everyone told me I was... I have 5 children and I got big really fast with this pregnancy. I do inhome daycare and have between 5-6 kids everyday, my youngest is 2 so she is home with me during the day as well. Im up every morning at 630am, the kids eat lunch at 11am and go down for nap from 1145-2pm this is also my nap time and it really helps me get through the day.. My husband is home around 530pm with our other children whom we enrolled in after school programs because I dont have the energy to handle soo many kids. My daycare kids are all gone by 6pm and im usually in bed by 8pm... I eat non-stop and drink sooo much water juice and milk that I pee every 20mins... Thank God my husband is soo much help I would be lost without him!

Get to bed early
by: Julie

I'm 19 weeks now and all my symptoms of pregnancy have been magnified compared to my previous singleton pregnancy, I thought the tiredness might have worn off like the sickness did now I'm in my 2nd trimester but no, some days I feel like I've run a marathon, and it's all i can do to keep my eyes open, which isn't wonderful when you have a 2 yr old running around ha ha. Thats the joys I guess with a twin pregnancy, but it'll all be worth it in the end.

Glad it is not just me!
by: Sara

At first it was morning sickness, then it was cramps, and now it seems that I am constantly tired at 10 weeks. I can't always nap, but when I can, I rest horizontally and zone out to the tv. I love any weekend where I can spend a whole day on the couch. I know that sounds pathetic but I have to or else I won't make it through the work week. And once during the workweek, I went to my car and took a nap. It is rough!

I also forgot to mention acne. Around the 7th week my face just exploded! I've been using benzoyl peroxide so it is better now but my goodness!

I know the feeling
by: Coolrelax2

I feel the same way - this is my first pregnancy and I just found out last week that I'm having twins. The fatigue is ridiculous - it's like the power switch gets turned to "off" at a moments notice, lol. I just thought it was normal, but I guess we're bout twice as tired as singleton pregnancies.

Sleeping Forever
by: shelly

I am 6 weeks pregnant and people have been telling me i am going to have twins. I think I am also. This is my 8th pregnancy and i have never been this exhausted b4. I camn hardly stay awake and when i try and force myself to it seems to make it worse. I have never slept so much ever. I am not having morning sickness with this pregnancy... but it is the extreme fatigue that really makes me wonder if this is twins.

Your not alone
by: Anonymous

Your not alone- I am 20 weeks, stay at home mom of a two year old and expecting twin boys, and am always exhausted. It get's better as the weeks go on, but some days are harder than others. Get your sleep and be sure to eat when you are hungary and drink loads of water!

naps
by: kristan

keep yourself hydrated and take short frequent naps..when i was pregnant with my b/g twins i felt like i couldnt get out of bed some days. i would just get up take a nice long hot shower, drink drink drink, and when i got too tired just napped when i could. youll always feel tired, but the naps and rest will do wonders hope this helps! good luck! it will all pay off =]

Fatigue buster
by: Natalie

I agree with everyone else. It is perfectly normal to be more tired with twins, and the best thing to do is rest. My hubby and I have talked and agreed on things that need to get done and what can fall to the wayside. He has even gotten to where he knows I need to get a nap without me saying so.

nutrition
by: beth laf

PERFECTLY NORMAL!!this will abate when sometime a little bit around 4 months, it will come back at the end of pregnancy though in the meantime , make sure youre taking your prenatals ,the iron anemia will not help with energy, as well as try to make sure youre eating enough protein

sleep
by: jenni

Sleep is the only thing that helped me, I would sleep all the time I felt like a teenager again lol. I first knew something wasnt right when i was tired all the time turns out i was 5 weeks along at that point. I am now 17w 2d and I feel better, now if this pesky morning sickness would just go away.

Needs sleep!?
by: Anonymous

The only thing that helped with me when i felt like that was take some cat naps I could sleep anywhere anytime untill i was about 12-14 weeks or so. I felt horrible for my hubby after work you could kiss cooking dinner or cleaning so he was doing everything...i just had no energy!!!
