I was 12 weeks and 4 days along. We were going in for a Down Syndrome test and the ultrasound tech broke the news to us. It's now a week later and I think I'm still in shock. Neither me nor my husband have twins in our family, so to find out we're having fraternal twins was a HUGE shocker!

Congratulations! I found out 5weeks ago that I am pregnant with my second set of twins! I go in this afternoon for my second ultrasound. I hope there really is only two in there. At the first ultrasound we thought we saw three sacs, but the doctor could only find two heartbeats. I have a few sets of fraternal twins in my family...But a second set for me, I am going to be very busy! They are due the 2nd day of July, two weeks before my first set of twins were due! My husband needs to stay away from me in October!

That sounds so familiar. I am now 15 weeks. I found out that we were having twins in my 8th week. I freaked out when I found out. There were no twins in either side of our families either. Our twins are sharing the same placenta. And my placenta is covering 100% of my cervix. I am getting ultrasounds every 3 weeks to find out if my placenta is moving. If it does not move we will be scheduling a C-section. It took me a while to get used to the idea of twins. I am now fine with it. It accually seems kinda cool! But it took me a few weeks to get though the shock. My husband was happy right away. I was worried when I went to my Downs test I was worried they would find more than two! but they only found two. If I make it that long. I have been soo scared about so many issues.
