Twin Strollers...What Is The Best?

by Katie Martin
(Atlanta, Georgia)

Hi! I am 33 weeks prego with twins and am so frustrated by the fact that you can't find a stroller to accomodate two infant carriers. I know about the baby trend double snap n go but I just got it and it really seems unsafe. The seats just sort of sit on the frame! Any suggestions???

Babies R Us -Graco

Try Babies R Us, we found our double stroller there. It fits two car seats but will also allow us to sit them directly in the seat when they get older.

Do not buy a Joovy Big Caboose
by: Julie

In preparation for the arrival of my twins, I purchased a Joovy Big Caboose (I also have a 3 yr old) and was was given a Graco Duo glider. I love the Duo Glider and wish that I would not have spent the money on the Joovy. It is HUGE, barely fits in my mini-van, and is heavy and difficult to push. When the car seats are on the stroller there was barely any room for my 3 year old on the little seat/platform in the back and she did not like to ride there. I have only used it a few times and now it sits in my garage.....my husband like to remind me how I just HAD to HAVE that stroller!! :) I would recommend the Duo Glider and plan on purchasing a Mcclaren umbrella stroller.

kolcraft stroller
by: Anonymous

Go to kolcrafts website. There is a stroller there called the options tandem stroller contours that i have been looking at. It is big and heavy and from what i hear it is kind of a pain for shop to shop shopping because you have to remove the seats to fold it. The good thing about this stroller is that you can use it with whatever carseats you have and all you do is remove the stroller seats and snap two carseat frames in place. The carseats fit right into the frames and then you buckle a strap over the seats for added safety and you can put all your things in the huge storage basket below. You do have to purchase an extra frame because the stroller only comes with one but i am definitely looking into getting this stroller.

twin strollers vs. baby slings
by: kellie @ this blessed nest

we orginially bought a (triple) peg perego. the car seats snap in, the stroller is ultra-lux. we had twins when our oldest was 2 years old. after a short while, we found that this stroller did not meet our needs. it was waaaay too large. we ended up buying the MCCLAREN double umberlla style stroller for drs. appt, errands, parks, walks, etc. however...when my husband is with me we use the ergo baby slings/carriers for the twins, so that our hands our free, to assist our oldest. not to mention that we feel baby wearing is wonderful part of parenting. when i am by myself, i use the MCCLAREN stroller almost everyday. i LOVE it. and have never used any other stroller since we got it.

hope this helps. best wishes & good luck to you.
