Twins Co-Sleeping?

I havn't found alot of literature on twins co-sleeping in the same crib. Just wondering if any Mom's out there have any advice, or how did it go? And how long were they able to share a crib? My husband and I are considering these options for our twins who are on their way!
Thanks :)

Co-sleeping is awesome!
by: kay

Hey there! My twins are almost 5 months old...and I started co-sleeping with them as soon as we got home from the hospital. It was such an amazing way to bond... not to mention saving trips between bedrooms, making breastfeeding easier, etc.... at 3 1/2 months we slowly started to make the transition to their crib. (The first night was the hardest for me...more than it was for them!)Now they sleep together in their own bed, and they only wake up once in the night... if they wake up at all!!! If they wake up, it's usually just one... When and if one wakes up, I change, nurse, and nuzzle her back to sleep. Sometimes she goes back to her bed, and sometimes she stays with me... it just depends on what they need. Needless to say, it's a process. Now that they are rolling around and trying to crawl, we are looking at another crib, it's starting to get crowded!!!...the plan is to place them side by side at first and then slowly seperate the two cribs.... Again... this is all a process.... every set of twins is different... do what your gut tells you....mama knows best!

sleeping together
by: stacy lou

I was told by several twin mothers that they sleep better together for the first 3 to 6 months. I sleep my 6 week old twins together and they do good. I dont have the space for two cribs anyway so I also found a crib divider you can put in once theyre moving around and could wake each other up... and one bonus, I found my girls spooning one night and that is enough to melt a mother's heart!
