Have You Used A Postpartum Girdle?

by Stephanie
(Phoenix, AZ, USA)

I am 17 weeks pregnant with fraternal twins. I was able to lose most of the weight after having my first daughter, but still had a little extra "flab" left over. Now, seeing how much faster my belly is growing this time around, I am terrified of what I'm going to be left with after my twins arrive. I keep picturing a big flap of skin just flopping around every which way, LOL!

So, I guess my first question is - for those of you who have already delivered twins in the past - How difficult was it to get your pre-prego belly back, if even possible at all? Then question #2 - Have any of you used a postpartum girdle or any other kind of wrap and, if so, did you find them to be effective? Also, which one did you use and where did you get it from? Thanks in advance for all of your help!

Post Partum Girdle is GREAT!!
by: G.S.

My wife used a postpartum girdle, starting about 2 days after delivery. She used it for about 1 month. The results were amazing. You would never know she was pregnant. There is no flabby skin at all. She can fit into the same clothes she wore before she got pregnant. It is hard to tell how much of that is the girdle and how much is genetics. But it is pretty impressive. Talk to your OB/GYN and go for the girdle.

The Belly Bandit
by: Anonymous

I never used an actual girdle, but I did use something similar to a "body shaper" which really helped with holding everything in...lol!

I have heard lots of great things about something called the Belly Bandit though. It's made especially to help with your post-preg belly. Seems kinda pricey, but may be worth it!
