What Are My Chances Of Having Preemie Identical Twins?

I'm 21 and this is my second pregnancy. My daughter is 2 1/2 now and will be 3 by the time my identical twins are born in Nov. My due date is the day after I turn 22.

My pre-pregnancy weight was 111 lbs. I'm going on 13 weeks and have gained 6 lbs. My daughter weighed 6 lbs 10oz when she was born and was a week overdue.

I'm just curious since my pre preg weight was so low if I'm going to be able to carry them full term. Everyone is scaring the crap out of me -saying how are you going to carry twins! So any ideas?

Each pregnancy is different. Don't let people worry you unnecessarily. You still are so very early into your pregnancy. Enjoy the moments and enjoy your two year old while you have the time and energy. I had two preemie babies that were five years apart ( one was 3lbs. and the other was 2 lbs). My daughters are 5 and 10 years old now, and both are very healthy. As you know, even a full term baby can be pretty tiny at birth and will swim in newborn size clothing. You can find cute preemie and regular size outfits for excellent flat-rate prices at http://www.bittybabyshop.com They also carry an awesome item called My Pregnancy Digi Time Capsule where you can record all of the events of your pregnancy and babies births. You are at the perfect stage for recording all of your memories, ultrasound photos, and you can even write a letter to your babies before they are born. I've never seen anything like it. I only wish there was such a tool when I had my babies. Good luck to you...
