19 weeks with twin boys :)

19 weeks with twin boys :)

This is my first pregnancy and I'm going into my 20th week with our fraternal twin boys. I've have an amazing trip so far, no sickness, no swelling, no aches. I'm just worried about stretch marks!

Franternal?

It is hard to tell if they are fraternal unless they are boy/girl twins. You can have fraternal twins with 2 placentas 2 sacs. You can have identicals with 2 placentas and 2 sacs. If they share a placenta it is pretty safe to say they are Identical. The only way to know if they are fraternal or identical when they are the same sex and have 2 placentas 2 sacs is to have DNA testing done after they are born.

I am 26 weeks pregnant with identical twin girls...they share a placenta but have separate sacs.

Hope this helps!

You look great, and stretch marks come with the territory, some women get lots some get none! Hope you luck out and get none :)

How do you know?
by: Anonymous

I am just curious, because I also am having twins. How do you know they are fraternal? I've been trying to read up as much as possible on it, and we've heard that it's pretty hard to determine, depending on if there were 2 eggs, or 1 and it split, etc. Any light you can shed would be fantastic. BTW, you look great, glad it's going well for you!! (:
