Don't You Wish You Got Twins The First Time?

I actually have people ask me if I wish I got the twins the first time (since I am pregnant with boy/girl twins now).... are they asking if I would like to replace my 4 year old son who is the love of my life???!! I simply respond - "No, if I got them the first time around, I wouldn't have my son!" STUPID!!!!

I had my girls when my son was 5...had he been a little younger, would ahve been harder, but I think having twins the second time around may be a little easier because you know what you are doing and are not so nervous as you are with your first born

I had my twins (girls) first and people kept saying "Oh, your pregnancy must have been much harder than if there was just one in there!" to which I replied, "I wouldn't know, this is my first pregnancy" until of course, after I was pregnant with my son and realised how much easier that pregnancy was.
When the girls were born and before I'd had my son, people would say "It's going to be twice as hard for you to raise them!" and again, I'd reply, "I wouldn't know, I've never raised just one baby to have a basis for comparison!" Raising two when it's all you've known is no different than raising one, in my humble opinion/experience, because I found myself no more busy than my mum friends with singleton babies.

I am pregnant with my first set of twins and also have a three year old boy and 18 month old boy. I have had people tell me it would have been easier if I had the twins first but I wouldn't trade my boys for anything. Although - to tell you the truth I amdefinitely worried about the first little while as I'll need a lot of supports helping me out with my two older children and the twins as I'll be having a C-Section. But I WILL handle it:) Also, I had people telling me I was being dramatic as I couldn't move from the couch between week 6-9. I lost ten pounds and was majorly ill. I was really beginning to think I was being weak as I had already had two, and that this one must be a girl then as it is sooo different. Imagine my relief and surprise that it was the twins doing the whole time:)!! GOOD LUCK ALL:)

Did anyone try and compare your twin pregnancy to a singleton pregnancy? I have a son whose 18 months and my pregnancy with him was easy as can be. But ever since the beginning of this pregnancy I knew something was different and then I found out it was cuz I was having twins. At work all the females tht have been pregnant before and the ones tht are pregnant are all like tellin me tht i was being ovr dramatic when i had morning sickness (they thought i was just faking it when i didnt have it at all with my son) then they keep sayin well i could do this during my pregnancy so you can do it. first of all i was already classified as high risk from the beginning because of the complications i had when i was pregnant with my son secondly none of them have been through a twin pregnancy!! i just want to see one of them go through a twin pregnancy and see if they could do all the things they usedta be able to do...with my son i was running till i had him at 8.5 months now i get out of breath walkin my dog a couple blocks. ugh! people make me mad!

They shouldn't ask you that... instead they should see that you have a little helper! I have twins and they are my first but I have a friend with a 2 year old and he is like their big brother always helping. People just don't think before they speak. A lot of times people also think they know what you're going through. NO WAY! haha. If you need any advice just let me know! My twins are 6 months now... it flies by!

i kinda think it would be easier to have them first only because after 2 one would seem like a breeze....although i wouldn't trade my first for anything
