I Need Advice for Clothing During My Twin Pregnancy!

by Jennie
(New York)

I am 19 weeks pregnant with twins & I'm rapidly outgrowing my maternity clothes! I even had a friend give me her maternity clothes which were bigger sizes, but the shirts don't seem to want to cover my whole stomach despite the bigger size! A lot of clothes are so uncomfortable already! I was just curious what other women did who were expecting twins! I still have a long way to go so I could really use some advice! Thanks!!

Pants that work!
by: Anonymous

My friend just bought me some of New York & Company's yoga pants (on the recommendation on a couple other pregnant women!) which actually fit & are comfy!

I was skeptical that they would work b/c I tried on some of yoga & sweatpants from Victoria Secret which did not fit the low roundedness of my tummy. However, these pants were so great! I even have some in the next size for when I get even bigger! They will be great to wear with my t-shirts & my dresses that are too short now!

I HIGHLY recommend these!

Hi, depending on when you are pregnant...or if you like to wear dresses, they were SO comfy and a life saver. Also I wore leggings ALOT and Motherhood maternity seem to have the best full panel pants around. Maxi dresses are still in and I found those comfy as well. Oh and the "dresses" that were knee length eventually became longer tops on me and again just pair them with a pair of leggings and I was comfy.

Hope this helps!

I gave up on Maternity clothes! Try and see if you can get your hands on a "bella band" or "tummy sleeve" it's like a large sleeve made of stretchy material (similar to that on the top of maternity pants). At first I wore it over my regular pants with them unbuttoned, so they lasted longer, then when my maternity shirts started getting too short I would just pop the sleeve on over top my pants and belly. Therefore no belly showing! Still use it and I'm 36w and 4d! Also found lots of baby doll and longer style tops in regular clothing stores. Hope this helps!!
