Pregnant With Identical Twins - How To Get Past The Worries?

I am 19 weeks pregnant with identical twins, our first babies. We'll find out what they are within the next couple of weeks. I am so very excited to meet my babies but cannot stop constantly worrying about all the risks (TTTS-twin to twin transfusion syndrome, preeclamspia etc.) It doesn't help that I am going to a generic health care center due to financial issues, so I technically have no one-doctor to call or rely on. I am just wondering from other moms how you got past the worries and fears of carrying twins with all the risks that come along with it.

Don't worry be Happy

Hi,
I am in the same situation. I can't help but think about all the things that will go wrong. I think like the others have said once you feel your babies kick and move around that it will reassure. If that doesn't I found that reading success stories of women who successfully delivered twins having preeclampsia or other complications really helps. You can still go through it even with complications.

I finally felt the first kick a week or two ago and they have been nonstop since then! Feeling that helped calm some fears :)

Stay positive

I'm 20 weeks with twins, you just have to stay positive and not read crazy things or watch those tv shows, everyone's body is different and we all worry. I'm anxiously awaiting the first kicks!
