Should I Be Worried About 2 Year Old Identical Twin Boys Not Talking Yet?

Hi all ,
Just wondering when your twins started talking? My boys were born 7 weeks early. They do listen to instructions some of the time , if they're not busy playing etc. They don't point or wave, they reach out for things like biscuit and water, etc.

I do feel they are developmentally delayed. Is this what other parents feel like? I'm just a bit concerned and wanting any feed back from parents who have experienced this or are experiencing it at the moment. Also, I'm a stay at home mum and the boys don't go to day care etc

Thanks

Try not to worry

I had this same concern so I had my b/g twins assessed. They ending up not having a communication delay even though they weren't saying many words. Ask your pediatrician to refer you to a therapist to have them assessed. We were told that sometimes twins take a bit longer to start talking because they have a twin language and they understand each other perfectly. If you haven't already start reading to them. Try not to worry they'll be talking in no time.. ;-)
