Surprise Of A Lifetime!

My name is Nikki, and I have 2 girls, 3 year old Arianna and 1 year old Abigail. My husband and I have always wanted a big family, telling people that we want four kids. I was trying to talk my husband into having another baby... I love my girls but I want a boy. I found out I was pregnant again on my oldest daughters third birthday.

Both my husband and I were excited. I was estimated at 6 weeks along when I started bleeding. I had a miscarriage before and was terrified. I went to the E.R. where they did an ultrasound. I jokingly asked the ultrasound technician if there was only one in there. He replied "if one has four arms and legs." Now I know at that stage in a pregnancy they just have their little nubbins, so I laughed it off. He then said "hold on a second... you thought I was joking" and started to laugh. I was in total shock when I saw two bubbles pop up on the screen. Baby B was sneekily hiding behind baby A so at first you couldnt really tell. Thank god the bleeding stopped before I left the hospital.

When I called my husband to tell him about the babies I told him "You know how you always wanted four kids?" He thought I was joking so I went home to show him the ultrasound picture. He is completely terrified. I am as well, but wow, what a blessing. I am 11 weeks and 2 days now and I cannot wait to find out what we are having. I have already started to stock up on diapers and when we find out the sex I will start stocking up on clothes AND diapers. I still have everything left from my daughter so I only have to buy one of everything again. We are truly blessed and I thank God everyday for the miracle he has given us.
