When Will Breech Babies Flip?

by Jennie

I am 22 weeks pregnant with twins & at my last ultrasound appointment I found out that both babies were breech. My ultrasound tech said that as long as the babies have plenty of fluid around them, they can flip any time just like a singleton. Then I talked to my doctor right after the ultrasound who said that they didn't have a whole lot of time left to flip & if they are breech now then there is a good chance they will stay breech.

I'm just wondering if anyone can tell me how far along they were when their babies flipped??

I am really worried about having a c-section!

Try a Webster technique informed chiropractor. They can help you babies have more room to flip.

It may feel silly to you, but I talked to my baby A all the time and asked her to say head down. I told her it would be in her best interest to stay head down and she did! They can flip pretty late in the game but I'd go with your doctor's advice.

Twins flipping

I am 22 weeks pregnant with twins and had a scan this week. One twin is head down whereas the other started at head down and during the scan flipped to breech - very easily so sure she can do all of that again and maybe again for a littel while longer.

I've had twinmommy friends who's babes flipped as late as 37wks. I wouldn't worry just yet.

When I was pregnant with my twins baby A was breech and baby B was head down from about mid-pregnancy all the way up until my 35th week when baby A went head down as well. So, sometimes it can happen later in pregnancy. Keep your fingers crossed!
